Location: Mishawaka, IN
Reports to the Executive Director
The Director of Camp Tawanchi is responsible for:
1. Overseeing the overall day camping program in compliance with National Camp Fire USA guidelines
2. Preparing the budget for review by the Executive Director and Board of Directors, and controlling expenses within budget
3. Hiring, training and supervising the Camp Staff
4. Developing and maintaining a schedule for the camping season
5. Applying for and maintaining all needed licenses, inspections and accreditation
6. Reviewing the Camp Insurance Policy annually with Executive director
7. Securing State lunches from the Penn-Harris-Madison Food Service
8. Preparing registration materials for campers and parents
9. Documenting registrations, payments and expenses
10. Fostering relationships with local businesses and individuals to promote camp and to enlist support for special camp activities
11. Keeping accurate records for reporting statistics to funding sources, United Way, and National Camp Fire USA
12. Performing all other duties incidental to the position
